What is Surf Sports?

Surf sports are at the heart of our clubs’ culture, combining fitness, skill and ocean knowledge.
Designed to develop strong, confident surf life savers, the surf sport program at Pacific has
many different avenues for all ages. Competitions test athletic ability in and out of the water.
Events include board paddling, surf ski racing, surf swimming, beach sprints, flags as well as
team relays and rescue simulations. Each discipline hones specific skills crucial for surf lifesaving
– speed, strength, endurance and teamwork.
